Southland Baptist Church exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to worship God "in spirit and in truth", and to equip and strengthen the spiritual lives of its members through the preaching and teaching of the Word of the living God. We seek to inspire one another to live a holy life and have a greater love for the Lord, and to be conscious of their walk with God in a dark world. Our ultimate end and object in life is to bring pleasure to our Creator (Rev. 4:11) by walking in truth (3 John 1:4), obeying the Word of God (John 14:15) and serving one another (Gal. 5:13).
Each Wednesday night children participate in a time of Bible instruction, games and Bible memorisation. Bible stories and practical examples are used in a fun way to teach them how to love God and live the Christian life!
Other programs include Junior Choir.

Our church is involved in teaching and reaching young people, and LAUNCH is the vehicle we use to do just that! We believe with sound biblical preaching, fun, and a variety of activities, we can make an investment in the teenagers of today. The Teen Ministry at Southland is here to prepare our young people to Launch out and serve the Lord in their generation.
We offer your young people:
- Summer Youth Camp
- Monthly Youth Activities
- Home Bible Studies
- Teen Sunday School Classes

Higher Ground, the Young Adult ministry at Southland is a fun and vibrant group of single young adults. They meet regularly as a group for fellowship, teaching and preaching, and often involve other young adults from like-minded churches.
The challenge of this stage of life is to stay pure and focused on God–a real test for anyone. If you are out of high school, this is the place for you!
