Southland Baptist was originally established in 1994 as Bethany Baptist Church, with a handful of families that wanted to faithfully follow the teachings of God's word. We are an old-fashioned, independent Baptist church that is fundamental in doctrine, and have a heart for reaching Sydney for Jesus Christ.
Through the years, this desire has only strengthened. Through the years our name changed to Southland Baptist, communicating our vision to reach out to the whole of Australia with the gospel.
We still believe that God's word is a light unto our feet and a lamp unto our path. We desire to share the hope that is found in God's word with our local community and support the evangelization of the world through foreign missions.
